May Half Term: Drama and Design Day
Positivi-tees and Tie-Dye Drama present: Drama and Design Day! FREE for Hammersmith and Fulham residents only.
We will be leading a fun and exciting 4.5 hour workshop where young people will play fun games, design their own clothing and create their very own, unique show!
General Info
Date and Time: Friday 31st May 10.30am-3.00pm (Half Term Friday).
Venue: Tudor Rose Community Centre (at the end of Shottendane Road / Fulham Court)
Age range: Year 3-6. (Have a child who's interested but outside of this age range? Get in touch and we can work out how to accommodate them: hello@tiedyedrama.co.uk)
What to pack: A packed lunch and water bottle. No nuts.
Experience Needed: None! We love working with young people from all backgrounds and experience of art, design and drama. We're here to have fun and empower young people to shine in their own unique way!
Price: Free for Hammersmith and Fulham residents only
Rough schedule for the day:
10.00am: Soft start drama games and art during drop off.
10.15am: Getting to know you activities (our favourite is a Question of the Day such as: which ingredient would you add to the science potion?) and setting the agenda for the day.
10.30am: Group split in half; either drama activities* or clothes designing and creating**.
*This will include warm up and team-work games, then using music and freeze frames to work more creatively, moving onto creating characters and scenes
**This will include choosing clothing to customise, creating templates and using materials to design.
12.00pm: Lunch (provided by parents/carers) and toilet break
12.30pm: Group changes activity; either drama or design.
2.00pm: Mini break
2.15pm: Rehearsals and last touches!
2.45pm: Parents/carers invited back to play an optional family game and then watch the performance
3.00pm: Young people to be taken home
